The AV-F150 is a pilot-production short-path molecular distillation apparatus built around a Ø 150 mm borosilicate glass evaporator body with 0.25 m² of evaporation area and 0.45 m² of condensation area. Processing 1.0–8.0 L/h from a 3 L feed vessel into 3 L receivers, it is the largest standard glass model of the Anvore molecular still line — purpose-built for process validation and small production batches of high-value materials.
Molecular distillation is a special liquid–liquid separation technology: under high vacuum (below 10 Pa), the mean free path of vapor molecules exceeds the distance between the evaporation and condensation surfaces, so components are separated by their differences in evaporation rate — not by boiling. A 120 W PTFE / 304 SS wiper system (up to 450 rpm) spreads the feed into a turbulent film thinner than 0.5 mm on the heated wall (RT–200 °C); light components evaporate and condense on the internal condenser, while heavy components flow to a separate 3 L receiver. A built-in cold trap protects the vacuum pump, and an external condenser is available as an option.
Compared with conventional short-path stills, the AV-F150 delivers shorter residence time, lower processing temperature and continuous operation without breaking vacuum — a true plug-and-play, turn-key solution for pilot production of high-boiling, heat-sensitive and easily oxidized materials. Working Principle
Feed is metered (1.0–8.0 L/h) from a preheatable 3 L vessel onto the heated wall of the Ø 150 mm glass evaporator. Rotating PTFE wipers spread it into a film < 0.5 mm; under a vacuum below 10 Pa, light molecules fly directly onto the internal condenser (mean free path > evaporator–condenser gap) while heavy molecules keep flowing down the wall — light and heavy fractions are collected separately, with no boiling and no thermal stress.
