The AV-MNG-30L2 is a dual-output membrane nitrogen generator engineered specifically for Shimadzu LC-MS and LC-MS/MS systems. From one floor-standing cabinet it delivers two independent gas streams that together cover the complete gas demand of a modern mass spectrometry workstation:

Nitrogen (N₂): 0–30 L/min at 95–99.9% purity for nebulizer gas, curtain gas and collision gas, plus dry air: 0–20 L/min at a pressure dew point below −40 °C for drying gas and auxiliary uses — no second generator, no extra floor space.

The generator separates nitrogen from compressed air with hollow-fiber membrane technology: oxygen, CO₂ and water vapor permeate rapidly through the polymer fiber walls and are vented, while nitrogen passes through as product gas; a filtered bypass line supplies clean, dry instrument air. Compared with PSA systems, the membrane design has no switching valves, a simpler structure, smaller footprint, faster start-up (≤ 3 minutes) and lower maintenance.

Everything — built-in compressor, water separator, multi-stage precision filtration, membrane module, buffer tank and dual pressure regulation — is integrated into one movable cabinet. Plug in, connect two gas lines to your Shimadzu system, and eliminate gas cylinders, rental contracts and delivery downtime for good.

Dual-Output Membrane Nitrogen Generator

Key Advantages

  • Dual Gas Output From One Unit
  • Nitrogen 0–30 L/min plus dry air 0–20 L/min — a single generator covers the full gas demand of a Shimadzu LC-MS workstation.
  • Purpose-Built for Shimadzu LC-MS
  • Factory-matched flow, purity and pressure for Shimadzu LCMS single and triple quadrupole systems; also compatible with Agilent, Thermo Fisher and AB Sciex.
  • Zero Consumables
  • Membrane separation has no switching valves and no adsorbent to replace — dramatically lower lifetime cost than PSA or cylinder supply.
  • Built-in Compressor, Whisper Quiet
  • Suspended, sound-insulated compressor runs 24/7 at noise below 56 dB; no external air supply needed.
  • Laboratory-Grade Gas Quality
  • No droplet residue, no phthalate ester contamination, particles < 0.01 µm, pressure dew point < −40 °C.
  • Real-Time Purity Display
  • High-precision onboard analyzer shows N₂ purity (95–99.9%) at a glance for instant quality confidence.
  • Fast Start-Up & Easy Expansion
  • Nitrogen ready within 3 minutes of power-on; capacity can be expanded easily as lab needs grow.
  • Smart Self-Diagnostics
  • Program-controlled self-diagnosis, service reminders and filter-expiry early warning simplify maintenance planning.
  • Compact, Mobile & Space-Saving
  • Highly integrated modular design (700 × 500 × 1000 mm) with lockable casters for effortless repositioning.

System Structure

  • Figure — AV-MNG-30L2 process flow: air pretreatment → membrane separation → dual gas delivery (N₂ + dry air) to Shimadzu LC-MS
  • Stage 1 · Air Compression & Pretreatment
  • Ambient air enters the built-in compressor (24/7 duty). A water separator removes moisture, then a multi-stage ultra-precision filter (< 0.01 µm) cleans the air stream, with a filter failure warning to guarantee protection of the membrane module.
  • Stage 2 · Hollow-Fiber Membrane Separation (Core)
  • Clean compressed air enters the hollow-fiber membrane module. Oxygen, CO₂ and water vapor permeate through the fiber walls rapidly and are vented to atmosphere, while nitrogen passes through as product gas. A dry-air bypass line draws filtered air for the second output. No switching valves, no consumables — gas is ready in < 3 minutes.
  • Stage 3 · Dual Gas Delivery & Quality Control
  • The N₂ buffer tank stabilizes pressure (safety valve fitted), the onboard purity analyzer displays 95–99.9% in real time, and the dual pressure regulator feeds two independent lines: Output 1 (nitrogen, 0–30 L/min) and Output 2 (dry air, 0–20 L/min) — connected directly to the nebulizer, drying and collision gas ports of a Shimadzu LC-MS / LC-MS/MS.
