LC-MS Membrane Nitrogen Generator
The AV-MNG-30L1 is a high-flow membrane nitrogen generator purpose-built to deliver continuous, high-purity nitrogen to LC-MS mass spectrometers.
The AV-MNG-30L1 is a high-flow membrane nitrogen generator purpose-built to deliver continuous, high-purity nitrogen to LC-MS mass spectrometers (single gas line) from leading brands — Agilent and Thermo Fisher.
It separates nitrogen from compressed air using hollow-fiber membrane technology: because oxygen, carbon dioxide and water vapor permeate through the fiber walls faster than nitrogen, a continuous stream of dry, clean nitrogen is produced on-site — completely eliminating the cost, hazard and downtime of high-pressure gas cylinders.
The unit integrates the air compressor, water separation, multi-stage precision filtration, membrane separation and buffer storage into a single compact cabinet. Plug it in, connect one gas line to your mass spectrometer, and enjoy 24/7 worry-free nitrogen supply for nebulizer gas, curtain gas and collision gas.

System Structure
- Stage 1 · Air Compression & Pretreatment
- Ambient air enters the built-in compressor (24/7 duty). A water separator removes moisture, then a multi-stage ultra-precision filter (< 0.01 µm) cleans the air stream, with a filter failure warning to guarantee protection of the membrane module.
- Stage 2 · Hollow-Fiber Membrane Separation (Core)
- Clean compressed air enters the hollow-fiber membrane module. Oxygen, CO₂ and water vapor permeate through the fiber walls rapidly and are vented to atmosphere, while nitrogen passes through and is collected as product gas. No switching valves, no consumables — gas is ready in < 3 minutes.
- Stage 3 · Nitrogen Delivery & Quality Control
- The N₂ buffer tank stabilizes pressure (safety valve fitted), the onboard purity analyzer displays 95 – 99.99% in real time, and the dual pressure regulator delivers up to 105 psi through a single gas line to the LC-MS nebulizer, curtain gas and collision gas ports.
