- The AV-F220S consists of a feed vessel, a motorized wiper assembly inside a heated evaporator column, an internal condenser, light and heavy fraction receivers, a cold trap, and a vacuum pump station. All wetted parts are made of 304 or 316L stainless steel for maximum chemical compatibility.

Working Principle
Molecular distillation — also known as short-path distillation — exploits the difference in mean free path of molecules under high vacuum. In the AV-F220S, feed material enters the top of the heated evaporator cylinder. A rotating wiper blade spreads the material into a thin, turbulent film on the inner wall. Under vacuum levels below 10 Pa, the distance between the heated evaporator surface and the internal condenser is shorter than the mean free path of the target molecules. Light-boiling molecules evaporate, travel across the gap, and condense on the cooled surface; heavy-boiling molecules and non-volatile residues flow downward and are collected separately. This process occurs at significantly lower temperatures than conventional distillation, preserving product quality and yield.
