The AV-B80 is a single-stage glass thin-film (wiped-film) evaporator system designed for laboratory R&D and pilot-scale purification of heat-sensitive, high-boiling-point and easily oxidized materials. Built around a borosilicate-glass jacketed evaporation column with an 80 mm inner diameter and 0.1 m² evaporation area, the unit spreads feed liquid into a thin film on the heated inner wall using a PTFE / SS316L wiper assembly driven by a 240 W motor (up to 450 rpm). An internal condenser with 0.25 m² area and a built-in cold well deliver efficient condensation and high recovery of volatile fractions, while the included external condenser and cooling unit further stabilize the process. The system operates under deep vacuum (standard <10 Pa; optional molecular or diffusion pump achieves ~0.1 Pa), allowing distillation well below normal boiling points. Heating range is room temperature to 200 °C. The standard 1 L feed volume and flexible throughput of 0.5–4.0 L/h make the AV-B80 ideal for pilot trials, process development, and small-batch purification across fine chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food, petroleum, daily chemicals, and environmental applications. CE- and ISO-certified, with 220 V / 110 V compatibility and other customized voltage.

Key Features & Advantages
- Operates well below material boiling points with very short residence time — ideal for high-boiling, heat-sensitive and easily oxidized compounds.
- Effectively removes organic solvents and odorous substances; excellent for de-solventizing extraction liquors.
- Selective evaporation of target products while removing impurities; multi-stage separation can isolate two or more components simultaneously.
- Ultra-high vacuum capability — standard <10 Pa (optional molecular or diffusion pump reaches ~0.1 Pa), preventing thermal degradation and oxidation.
- Thin liquid film (<0.5 mm) delivers high heat-transfer efficiency and rapid evaporation rates.
- Superior separation degree — separates substances that are difficult to resolve by conventional distillation.
- No boiling or foaming — free-surface evaporation under low pressure without dissolved air, avoiding entrainment and splashing.
- Multiple column sizes available from lab pilot to production scale; larger evaporation areas can be customized on request.
- Physical separation — non-toxic, harmless, pollution-free, and residue-free, yielding pure and safe products.
- PTFE and SS316L wiper system provides excellent corrosion resistance for aggressive solvents and acids.
- Optional feed-tank pre-heating with adjustable setpoint for improved feed conditioning and throughput stability.
- All glass joints sealed with fluoro-rubber gaskets (upgradable to PTFE) for reliable vacuum integrity and chemical compatibility.

Working Principle
Thin-film (wiped-film) evaporation separates liquid mixtures by exposing the feed to a heated surface under high vacuum. Feed is introduced into the top of the vertical glass evaporation column and spread into a very thin film (<0.5 mm) on the heated inner wall by a rapidly rotating wiper assembly. Because the system operates under deep vacuum, the volatile components evaporate at temperatures far below their normal boiling points, even for high-boiling and heat-sensitive materials. The vapor travels a short distance to the internal condenser and cold well, where it is chilled by the cooling unit and condensed into the light-fraction receiver. Non-volatile residues flow down the column wall and are discharged from the bottom into the heavy-fraction receiver or removed by an optional gear pump. The entire process typically takes only seconds, minimizing thermal exposure and preserving product integrity. Optional molecular or diffusion pumps can reduce the operating pressure to ~0.1 Pa for even gentler separation.
