A batch of water bath nitrogen concentrators has been supplied to an accredited food testing laboratory in Vietnam. The instruments concentrate pesticide residue and mycotoxin extracts prior to analysis, where sample volumes must be reduced precisely and reproducibly.

Project Highlights

Manual nitrogen blow-down is slow and depends heavily on the analyst, which made it difficult for the laboratory to meet its accreditation requirements for repeatability. Automated endpoint detection removes that variability.

  • 24-position sample tray with independent gas and height adjustment
  • Automated endpoint detection with optical sensors and audible alarm
  • Digital water bath from ambient to 100 °C with ±0.5 °C stability
  • PTFE-coated gas lines for solvent compatibility

Installation & Method Transfer

Our engineers supported the laboratory during installation and helped transfer three existing methods onto the new instruments. Recovery studies using spiked samples confirmed results within the laboratory’s acceptance criteria.

“A task that used to take an afternoon now finishes unattended, and the results are consistent between analysts.” — Laboratory Supervisor, Vietnamese Customer

Nitrogen concentrators, dry block evaporators and laboratory drying equipment complete our sample preparation range.
