A multi-function reactor skid has been delivered to a petrochemical client in Saudi Arabia for pilot-scale process development. The skid combines a jacketed glass reactor and a stainless steel vessel on a common frame, so that a single unit covers both corrosive and high-temperature duties.

Project Highlights

The client needed one flexible system to evaluate several process routes before committing to a full-scale plant. A skid-mounted design was chosen so the unit could be moved between laboratory bays and, if required, to the production site.

  • 100 L jacketed glass reactor plus 200 L jacketed stainless steel vessel
  • Operating range from −80 °C to 200 °C
  • Explosion-proof motors and instrumentation for Zone 2 installation
  • Integrated condenser, receiver, vacuum system and dosing pumps

Factory Acceptance Test

The complete skid was assembled, wired and hydro-tested before shipment, and the customer’s engineers attended a factory acceptance test in Hangzhou. All instruments were calibrated with traceable certificates and the control logic was demonstrated step by step.

“Everything arrived on one frame, fully piped and tested. It was running within a week of reaching the site.” — Process Engineer, Saudi Customer

Reactor systems are available from 1 L laboratory units to 500 L pilot and production skids, in glass, stainless steel and glass-lined configurations.
